Terms of Service

By adding Valiente to your Discord server, using any of its slash commands, or accessing the web dashboard at valientebot.xyz, you agree to these Terms of Service in their entirety. If you do not accept these terms, you must immediately remove Valiente from your server and discontinue use of the dashboard.

1. Eligibility & Acceptance

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by Discord in your country) to use Valiente.
By using Valiente, you confirm that you comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
Server administrators are responsible for ensuring that all members of their server use Valiente in accordance with these terms.

2. Permitted Use

Valiente grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purposes:

Server management and moderation (bans, warns, mutes)
Community engagement features (leveling, economy, mini-games, giveaways)
Information and notification features (free game alerts, social alerts, birthdays)
Music streaming from licensed public sources via DisTube
Dashboard configuration at valientebot.xyz for servers where you hold MANAGE_GUILD or ADMINISTRATOR permission

3. Prohibited Conduct

Violation of any of these prohibitions may result in immediate and permanent revocation of access to Valiente, without prior warning and without refund.

You must NOT:

Exploit or abuse: Attempt to exploit bugs, race conditions or logic errors in economy/leveling systems to gain illegitimate advantages (e.g., infinite coin exploits).
Automate commands: Use self-bots, user-bots, macros or any automated tool to fire slash commands at scale.
Spam: Trigger commands in a manner that constitutes spam, flood, or deliberate bot abuse.
Violate others' rights: Use Valiente to harass, dox, defame, or infringe on the rights of other Discord users.
Circumvent access controls: Attempt to access the dashboard API without proper authentication, reverse-engineer the bot token, or forge HTTP requests to protected endpoints.
Distribute malicious content: Use Valiente's features (embeds, welcome messages, ticket descriptions) to distribute phishing links, malware, or NSFW content in non-intended contexts.
Impersonate: Claim to be affiliated with or endorsed by the Valiente team.

4. Service Availability & SLA

Valiente operates 24/7 across distributed shards via Discord.js ShardingManager. We target a monthly uptime of 99.5%.

We are not liable for service interruptions caused by: Discord API outages (status.discord.com), MongoDB Atlas maintenance windows, Cloudflare infrastructure issues, or scheduled maintenance periods announced via our support server.

Planned maintenance will be announced at least 24 hours in advance on our support server and the status page.

5. Economy & Virtual Currency

All in-bot currency (coins, items, balances) is purely virtual and has no real-world monetary value. Virtual assets cannot be exchanged for real money, transferred off-platform, or refunded.

Server admins may reset economy data for their server at any time.
The Valiente team reserves the right to adjust economy parameters (rates, limits, cooldowns) to preserve game balance.

6. Termination & Bans

We reserve the right to terminate access to Valiente for any user or server at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to:

Violation of these Terms of Service
Violation of Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
Fraudulent, abusive or harmful behavior toward the Valiente infrastructure or team

In case of account or server termination due to a violation, we reserve the right to delete all associated data without prior notice.

7. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Valiente is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. This includes, but is not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

The Valiente team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

Loss of data due to a database failure or unexpected outage
Incorrect moderation actions taken by the bot based on misconfiguration
Loss of virtual currency or achievements caused by technical errors
Actions taken by users misusing Valiente's features on a server

8. Modifications to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. A notice will be posted in our support server at least 7 days before major changes take effect. Continued use of Valiente after changes constitute acceptance of the new terms.

9. Governing Law & Contact

These Terms are governed by applicable Belgian law. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt resolution via our support server before initiating legal proceedings.
